Is there a demo of DVDekstop?
I offer a demo version you can download from my website. Click the “Download Demo” at the opt of any of our web pages.
I have an older version of DVDesktop. Can I get an upgrade?
No at this time. There is no way to transfer licences from the old version of DVDesktop to the Mac App Store.
Can I play purchased movies from iTunes in DVDesktop?
DVDesktop uses Apple QuickTime technology to Unfortunaly Apple’s QuickTime player does not play DRM protected shows and movies bought from iTunes.

Why do I get an alert when I insert a DVD?
DVDesktop cannot play DVD movies or VIDEO_TS files when another application on your Mac is using the DVD drive to playback video. If you get a dialog that looks like this...
... this is Apple’s DVD Player application notifiing you that DVDesktop is using the DVD drive on your Mac. To prevent this from happening in the future please follow these steps.
1. Open your Mac’s System Preferences
2. Click on CDs & DVDs under Hardware
3. Click on the pop-up menu next to
“When you insert a video DVD:”
4. Select “Ignore” from the pop-up menu.
Once this is done you will no longer see the alert saying there was an initialization error.
